Subject: Public Hearing on State Implementation Plan Revision for Motor Vehicle Inspection and Maintenance

The Department of the Environment will hold a public hearing concerning the State's intention to request approval for the Maryland State Implementation Plan (SIP) revision certifying that the existing Vehicle Emissions Inspection Program satisfies the requirements of the 2008 National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS) for ozone in the Baltimore ozone nonattainment area.

The public hearing will be held on February 20, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at the Department of the Environment, 1800 Washington Boulevard, 1st Floor Conference Rooms, Baltimore, Maryland 21230-1720. Interested persons are invited to attend and express their views. Comments may be sent to Marcia Ways, Mobile Sources Control Program Manager, Air and Radiation Administration, Department of the Environment, 1800 Washington Boulevard, Suite 705, Baltimore, Maryland 21230-1720, or emailed to marcia.ways@maryland.gov.  Comments must be received not later than 5:00 p.m. on February 20, 2018, or be submitted at the hearing.
