As an attorney, Charles is trained to advocate. When you voted for Charles in 2014, he promised he would advocate to better our communities by serving the people. Charles listened and worked hard to deliver on this pledge. Over the last 4 years he:
- Championed legislation enabling Baltimore County to be a leader in the use of body cameras by local law enforcement;
- Supported legislation to assist seniors by preventing pharmaceutical companies from raising drug prices without justification; and
- Secured state funding for Catonsville, Westowne, Edmondson Heights, and Westchester Elementary, Sudbrook Middle, and Woodlawn High.
Charles grew up in Baltimore's West Hills community and moved to Catonsville where he and his wife, Myra, a Milford Mill and Towson graduate, raise their three daughters.
Charles values education and is a proud graduate of Baltimore Polytechnic Institute, John Hopkins University, UMBC, and the University of Maryland School of Law.
In addition to serving as your State Delegate, Charles is also the Assistant General Counsel for a Columbia-based non-profit. In this role, he advocates for affordable housing in diverse and thriving communities.
